Planning for Health, Prosperity and Growth in the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2015

Suzanne worked with David Crombie’s Advisory Panel on the Coordinated Provincial Land Use Review to prepare their recommendations to the Ontario Government regarding the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, Greenbelt Plan, Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan and Niagara Escarpment Plan.

Advisory Council reports for Nuclear Waste Management Organization, 2005, 2010, 2013 and 2016

Suzanne worked closely with the NWMO Advisory Council to write their independent commentaries on the NWMO reports Choosing a Way Forward (2005), Moving Forward Together (2010), and Implementing Adaptive Phased Management (2014-18 and 2017-2021) regarding the long-term care of used nuclear fuel.

Two Decades of Regeneration: Making a Difference on the Great Lakes and St Lawrence River Waterfronts, 2010

This article by Suzanne Barrett and Marlaine Koehler reviews the past two decades of action, describing some of the transformative projects underway by the Waterfront Regeneration Trust and its community partners and the challenges posed as they enter the third decade of this remarkable venture in waterfront revitalization.

Environmental Management of Lake Ontario Park, communications materials for Waterfront Toronto, 2008

A coordinated and consistent approach to communications about proposed strategies to address contaminated soils and groundwater in the Lake Ontario Park area. This included key messages and detailed questions and answers for use by spokespeople from Waterfront Toronto and partner agencies, and a backgrounder for public distribution.
